rawdog RSS aggregator

I’ve been playing with rawdog. It’s a simple RSS aggregator that runs from cron and emits an HTML page. It has some available plugins to expand the functionality, but the appealing thing to me was how simple it was to set up and use. No big commitment to give it a shot and it addresses the reason I don’t just use Bloglines or one of the other nice web-based readers — it runs on my machine. Someday I may go back and revisit IMAP RSS aggregator but in the meantime I was tired of having my RSS reading split among machines. I wanted a quick way to get all the feeds I’m reading in one place and available everywhere and rawdog solved it. It looks like I could even put my IMAP aggregation code in as a rawdog plugin — allowing me to avoid duplicating all the config and state storage rawdog is doing.
